Bryant Electric Company
Wiring Devices, Electrical Components, and Switches.
When Bryant Electric was first founded in 1889, it produced only 12 devices. By 1928, Bryant sold over 4,000 different products and eventually became the world's largest plant devoted to the manufacture of wiring devices. During WWII alone, Bryant's State Street plant produced 20,000,000 bullet cores. The company's 20 building, 6-acre site in Bridgeport's West End was torn down in 1996 to make way for a new Industrial Park.
